From the deserts of New Mexico to leading one of the most musically diverse bands ever created, Roman Gonzales also known as Roman G. is a composer, trumpeter, educator, and producer. Roman began playing the trumpet at the age of 12 and has continued to push the limits of his artistry ever since. In 2017 he would release his first single as a bandleader titled "Introducing act 1 (The Tempest)". This was followed in 2019 by the release of his "Sketches" EP, a performance at the world famous Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, and two additional singles titled "Gypsy Black" and "Rainbows". Currently, Roman has written and recorded another EP entitled "The Return" set to release in 2023. Although primarily self taught, Roman was fortunate to study under world class musicians including: Marcus Rojas, Tanya Darby, and Leon Dorsey to name a few. In turn the trumpeter has been able to forge and refine his own unique playing and compositional style he refers to as "3rd Degree" a conceptual combination of jazz, tonal, and contemporary music styles. A multifaceted musician, Roman prides his ability to adapt his music and ensembles to any setting and playing situation. From an intimate quartet to a rousing 10 piece ensemble, an unforgettable experience is sure to be had.
